However, as soon as he arrived for the World Cup, he turned to a different beast. He scored runs for India in crucial moments and also picked up wickets. He was one of the main reason, why India managed to win the World Cup undefeated.

In the final, he picked up the wicket of firing Heinrich Klaasen and triggered South Africa’s demise. He also bowled the all important final over and managed to defend the total. Pandya scored 144 runs at a batting strike rate of 151.58 and picked up 11 wickets.
After the end of the T20 World Cup 2024, there was no post from Natasa Stankovic regarding Pandya’s performance or India’s World Cup win. Instead, she posted a photo of herself and the Indian fans could not keep themselves cool.
